Each camper will get a chance to work with SJSU Pitching Coach Taylor Gilmore on the basics of beginning pitching. The clinic will take participants through the warm-up, foundations of the body when pitching and pitch grips and spins. Participants will also get the chance to throw different pitches and compete in some different contests. Participants should bring their own catcher.

Drills & Mindset Each camper will work with SJSU Pitching Coach Taylor Gilmore on what it takes to be a successful pitcher in travel ball and at the college level. This session is designed to work with pitchers 13-18 on the ins and outs of pitching, as well as the mental side. Participants will spend time working through the physical side, what a “professional” bullpen should look like leading up to games and the mental side of pitching. The drills used in this session are meant to help each pitcher, as well as challenge them. Participants should bring their own catcher.

Youth campers will get an opportunity to go through infield, outfield, base running and hitting drills with SJSU staff and coaches. The campers will be led through different drills on throwing, including proper technique, infield and outfield technique and reps, how to properly run the bases and basic hitting drills. Campers will also get to compete in different skill drills throughout the session.

Bring your work gloves to this session because you’re going to get your swings in! This session is designed to give hitters as many swings and reps as possible under the light at SJSU Softball Stadium. We will work through different stations in the cages and on the field. With only 25 student-athletes, each person in attendance should expect to get a lot of swings in! We’ll end the night with a homerun derby and a slapper challenge (yes – we love slappers!)

We’re going to spend time breaking down the swing from the beginning for our young campers! We will build the foundation of a successful swing and put the swing into use with a variety of drills. Each camper should expect to get a ton of swings in on the night.

This session should be exciting for the campers and the coaches! We will take the campers through a SJSU softball practice from beginning to end, including infield/outfield, catcher work, bullpens and hitting. The session will be fast- paced and an opportunity to show off skills in your best position! Talk about a good chance to get on the college field and do your thing in front of college coaches!

Not a pitcher or catcher?! We have a session for you. We will spend the entire session on the dirt focusing on infield play. We will break down the fielding position, throwing to bases, learning new skills like throwing on the run and challenge the campers.

Love this session! This session is to show off the gloves! We will put campers through a variety of drills, skill tests, challenges and even games on the defensive side. Our field is big and fast and we value defense. Campers will get a ton of reps during this session focusing on the defensive side of the game.
